Samantak Ray
A technologist at heart I believe in the ability of new technology and product design to enable and help rather than intimidate with complexity. Hence I am working towards enabling better user experiences through sensible engineering and design. This is the age of the 'Internet of Me' and I wish to join an organisation enabling that experience to the consumer.

The study is focused on documenting useful feedback offered by real users on representations of a product while analysing the trade-offs compared to the user feedback on the product itself as a means to develop a more efficient and successful product manufacturing cycle.
My role as a researcher in this study involves
1) Developing cutting edge Tangible Augmented Reality (TAR) models to represent the future of the product development cycle in the consumer products industry.
2) Creating assets required for the study, which include various representations of the product used as the control. Assets included 3D models, appearance models, augmented reality models, sketches and storyboards and user stories.
3) Interviewing upto 500 study volunteers (so far 50) under IRB protocol for product specific research.
4)Assisting Lead Researcher, Professor Young Mi Choi, in daily activities with setting up research assets, study-space, questionnaires, logging protocol and related tasks.
5) Leading 2 new undergraduate researchers in tasks contributing to the study.
