Samantha DiReda

Currently, I am a sophomore at Nichols College in Dudley, MA. I am working towards earning my Bachelor in Liberal Arts, majoring in Education and Mathematics. I have always had a passion for helping people because it gives me a sense of reward. I believe the key to success is to work hard and put time and energy into anything you do. I have the drive and desire for excellence and I strive to put forth my best work in anything I do. My long-term goal is to become a high school math teacher. Throughout high school I taught myself in every math class because I couldnt follow the teacher. This is part of the reason why I wanted to become a math teacher. Most students struggle with math and so did I. When I teach math someday, I will be able to connect with my students on an educational level because of this. Some of my short-term goals leading up to my main goal of being a successful high school math teacher are: Get a tutoring job at the Academic Resource Center Pass the high school math Massachusetts Tests for Educator License Continue to receive good grades Earn my Bachelor in Liberal Arts degree I will continue to take every academic opportunity that comes my way while achieving these goals. I take my education very seriously and put a lot of hard work and effort into it. In the future, my dream is to become a high school math teacher and coach the high schools womens ice hockey team and maybe one day open up my own tutoring business.
