Hi! I'm Samuel! I am a UX/Interaction designer. I was initially trained as a computer scientist and am furthering my education in Human-Computer Interaction because I care about people and want to be involved in the technology to solve problems to improve their lives. I am not afraid to ask and answer the hard questions. Currently, I am doing research into demystifying the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) insurance document with a prototype iOS application using Tesseract's OCR engine. My goal is to empower the end user to understand their medical bills and help curb healthcare fraud. Some of my areas of interest: healthcare, assistive technology, education, visualizations, augmented and virtual reality, and interaction design.
