I am a materials science and engineering Ph.D. candidate with research lab experience in ceramic chemistry and with a variety of materials characterization techniques. My current goal is to obtain an advanced degree in materials science, specializing in the field of electrochemical energy storage and conversion. My post-degree careers interests lie research for energy storage and conversion.
Characterization techniques include scanning electron microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
See my ResearchGate profile for a complete list of my publications: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Samson_Lai
I am experienced in laboratory safety and maintenance management and extensively experienced in hydrofluoric acid at three separate institutions (Michigan, Mayaterials, GaTech).
