I am an ecologist, rural farmer, herbalist, and artist. My focus is sustainable ethnobotany, and how this is interconnected with healthy ecosystems and established wildlife populations - carnivores in particular. My passion is working to heal people, places and wildlife through, science, education, herbalism, storytelling, animism and community-based conservation. In addition to forest farming, wildlife tracking, and my herbal work, I collaborate with local farmers on solutions to human-wildlife conflict through experience and knowledge sharing.

Farmer, Wildlife Biologist, Herbalist at Wolves & Sage (farm)
I live and farm in a remote area of Washington's Okanogan Highlands where I practice sustainable land management through market forest farming, ethical wild harvesting of plants, sharing the farm with wildlife, and the utilization of renewable energy sources. I put to use only non-lethal and humane predator deterrents as a way to successfully coexist with local wildlife, inclusive of large carnivores such as bear, coyote and wolves. Wildlife is regularly monitored by use of wildlife cameras and ground tracking as a tool of coexistence, education and community information sharing.
