Bruin Vets is a student-led organization at Belmont University dedicated to supporting and empowering military-connected students. As the official campus chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA), our mission is to connect student veterans and military-affiliated individuals with the Belmont community and empower them to use their unique experiences in leadership, service, and mentorshipboth on and off campus. We serve a broad and inclusive community of military-connected students, including: Veterans Active Duty Service Members National Guard and Reserve Members ROTC Cadets Military Dependents and Family Members Regardless of if someone is currently using military education benefits, if their life has been shaped by military service, they are part of our community. Bruin Vets is committed to building a culture of support, camaraderie, and purposehelping military-connected students thrive academically, personally, and professionally.

Belmonts Sustainable Fashion Initiative aims to provide a leadership framework for any student who desires to become a part of the movement toward making the fashion industry more sustainable as well as supporting consumers in making more sustainable choices. The term sustainable as it relates to fashion on the manufacturing side encourages producing clothing ethically and in a way that does not harm the environment. On the consumer side, the movement emphasizes the importance of reducing consumption, reusing or up-cycling things we already own, and shopping sustainably (supporting ethical companies or buying second-hand).
