Deep Learning Algorithms - Summer Intern at MediaTek Inc.
Researched on neural network quantization for object detection, developed a new method to train neural network model in fix point. Successfully reduced SSD neural network to 4-bit fix point with precision (mAP) of 64% on PASCAL VOC 07 + 12 dataset (25000 images), where floating 32-bit SSD model has 70% mAP. The result reduced 60% of the model size, saved power and reduced complexity using fix point computation. This project was implemented with TensorFlow/Python and Caffe.
