Web services and cloud computing are my areas of active research and development. I have designed, developed, deployed, maintained, and administered full mobile responsive AJAX web sites on LAMP stacks (Ubuntu/CentOS, Apache2, MySQL, PHP). Many third party PHP and JavaScript/JQuery libraries and services have been integrated with my products. I have experience developing for Android with Google's Android Development Tools.
As a professional engineer I developed methods for deriving statistical characterizations (chiefly Gauss-Markov) of recorded data. I used these characterizations to produce tens of thousands of training data sets for artificial neural network image processors. Network training and image processing occurred on a network of 12 cores I administered to process in parallel. As a Matlab expert I have consulted with programs and projects to speed up algorithm implementations.
At home I deployed and maintain a 10 processor Beowulf cluster on a Linux Mint master node PXE booting Ubuntu Server nodes. The cluster runs jobs in OpenMPI Python (mpi4py) and Fortran.
I also enjoy biographies and classic science fiction. I've been skydiving in rural Virginia. I've motorcycled through thunder storms on long distance trips. Madagascar was home for two years; I still speak and translate Malagasy.
