Data Scientist at The LIGO International Scientific Collaboration
Working as a research assistant for LIGO's detection characterization group, I used various analysis techniques, often based in Python, to remove especially loud background events from the data set. These analysis techniques used tools such as Boosted Decision Trees and various LIGO-specific Python libraries. My current project includes the use of Bayesian Statistics on the LIGO data.
