Shamim Al Aziz Lalin
Shamim Al Aziz Lalin is currently working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia State University, USA. He is a highly passionate and motivating educator with a decade of experience enriching graduates and postgraduate learners. He served as an Associate Professor at North East University Bangladesh. Moreover, he worked as a Business Mentor at University Innovation Hub Program (conceived by the Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority and Funded by The World Bank). He has an excellent educational background and expertise in mentoring students. He completed his MBA and BBA degrees from the Department of Management Studies of Comilla University.
Mr. Lalin is keenly interested in academic research. His research areas include environment and society, well-being and life satisfaction, mental health, climate change, and pandemics. He has published many articles on these and other significant topics in reputed journals, including Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics (Taylor & Francis Publication, Scopus, and Web of Science Indexed, Q-1 Journal, IF: 4.52), Humanities & Social sciences Communications (Nature Publication, Scopus and Web of Science Indexed, Q-1 Journal, IF: 3.5), Weather, Climate, and Society (American Meteorological Society Publication, Scopus, and Web of Science Indexed, Q-2 Journal, IF: 3.01), Regional Science Policy & Practice (Elsevier Publication, Scopus, and Web of Science Indexed, Q-2 Journal, IF: 1.7), and SN Social Sciences (Springer Publication, and Scopus Indexed). He has been reviewing research papers in renowned international journals, including Frontiers in Sociology, PLOS Climate, and Frontiers in Reproductive Health.
Moreover, Mr Lalin served as the Head of the Department of Development Studies at North East University Bangladesh. He was a member of the academic council of North East University Bangladesh, and an advisor of the NEUB Debating Society. Mr. Lalin is an award-winning debater. He was the First runner-up in the Cute-BFDF 3rd National Debate Champion-2014 competition and the team leader of his debate team in the 22nd National Television Debate Competition 2014, Organized by Bangladesh Television (BTV).
