•Act as a student leader among peers •Work with ProVenue, a ticketing system for on campus events; managing the cash drawer, ticket stubs and other event information •Managing lost and found for students and faculty and newspaper subscriptions •Act as the switchboard for Kutztown University, which requires a detailed knowledge of the University and keeping up with daily schedules •Assist students, faculty and campus visitors in person with questions, directions and recommendations •Work closely with fellow student workers, graduate assistants and professional staff, completing daily tasks for them as needed •Act as the face of the University, keeping a professional and friendly demeanor

•Fulfilling the typical duties of a cashier, including selling products, signing guests up for loyalty cards, credit cards and protection plans •Maintaining a visually appealing store, by straightening aisles in a timely manner •Assist guests on and off the sales floor •Communicate with coworkers in a professional, effective manner in person and via telephone and radio •Translate return policies and manufacturer warrantees into layman’s terms for guests •Answer phone calls from inquiring guests and other stores •Open and close the store •Trained more than 20 team members in my time there •Listen empathetically to guests concerns, and assist them to the best of my ability •Handle returns and exchanges •Monthly product training for both Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us
