Sonia Singh

I am a cognitive science researcher at Georgia State Universitys NeuroLearn Laboratory. My research focuses on peoples ability to learn statistical contingencies as well as their capacity for prediction and attention while learning. I regularly acquire physiological and behavioral data in an attempt to study how people acquire knowledge of these statistical sequences. I use a mixture of common statistical techniques as well apply more complex linear mixed models to event related potential data. My writing and programming skills are a work in progress. They are versatile enough to suit different project requirements. I am currently working towards a Ph.D. dissertation that focuses on learning and language, across auditory and visual modalities (expected graduation: 2017). Working in a multicultural environment has nurtured an appreciation for diversity and global issues.
