As an undergraduate physics major, I am greatly involved in my academics, working on research projects, managing the UKY chapter of the Society of Physics Students, and participating in extracurricular activities such as rock climbing. My goal is to be accepted into a PhD program for nuclear physics, and one day work to further America's usage of clean nuclear power.

High school students who score in the 96th percentile are "Commended" for their PSAT/NMSQT scores, and of those students 16,000 are selected to be semifinalists. Of the semifinalists, 15,000 are selected to be finalists "by submitting SAT scores that confirm the earlier PSAT/NMSQT performance, having an outstanding academic record, and being endorsed and recommended by a high school official." Society of Physics Students

I serve as the President of the UKY chapter of the Society of Physics Students. My responsibilities as President include but are not limited to: i. Communicating to club advisors and the Department of Physics and Astronomy, ii. Sending announcements and resources via Canvas, iii. Securing academic speakers, schedule dates and times, and reserve space for Cosmic Lunches, a semi-monthly presentation of research conducted by staff of UKY and local colleges/universities.
