Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for learning about our natural world and protecting our ecosystems. Now that I am attending university my passion for conservation has driven my choice to become a primatologist. My enthusiasm for educating young people about wildlife conservation developed during my two years volunteering at the Elmwood Park Zoo, an AZA-accredited zoo in my hometown. I am a firm believer that exposing children to our natural world through informal learning and fun will foster the next generation of conservationists to go on and protect our wildlife.

In Fall Quarter 2016 served as Outreach Director-- co-coordinating recruitment of new College Ambassadors for 2016-17 school year. Led 90 minute campus tours to prospective college students and families utilizing excellent public speaking and guest relations skills to provide the ideal campus experience Participated as a student ambassador in various recruitment events such as UC San Diego’s accepted students events Worked at front desk of Admissions Office triaging calls for Admissions Officers, answering questions, checking guests in for tours, and working on outreach letters and office projects
