American Choral Directors Association (ACDA)

This club at Troy University allows students to learn choral techniques and study various types of music. We also help with Troy's SEUS Honor Choir by setting up and preparing the music to help the high school students with any needed musical assistance.

Opera Workshop

I am currently a member of the opera department at Troy University. In Fall of 2016 through Spring 2017, Opera Workshop performed "The Magic Flute." I stared as the Queen of the Night (evil mother of Pamina). In Fall of 2017, Opera Workshop performed "Dido and Aeneas," and I played Witch #1. In Spring of 2018, Opera Workshop performed scenes by Kurt Weill. In Spring of 2019, Opera Workshop performed "Faust," and I played Marguerite. This opera was my biggest challenge because the entire opera was sung in French. In Spring of 2020, Opera Workshop was planning on performing five different opera scenes by Gilbert and Sullivan. Unfortunately, Opera Workshop was not able to perform because of the COVID-19 crisis. The lead role that I was going to play was Mabel from "The Pirates of Penzance." I would have also played ensemble members in "Patience," "Mikado," and "Yeoman of the Guard." In Opera Workshop, we learn how to perform, read operatic music, and study opera history. The past directors were Dr. Christina Amonson and Dr. Ann Gabrielle Richardson. The current directors are Dr. Sarah Wee and Dr. Thaddaeus Bourne.

Substitute Teacher at St. Paul Lutheran Pre-School in Pensacola, Florida

From September to December of 2018, I worked as a substitute teacher at St. Paul Lutheran Pre-School in Pensacola, Florida. While working there, I had to take a few online classes for the Florida Department of Children and Families. I worked with ages from 1-3 years old.
