Sydney Dowd
I am a student who has both linguistic and musical experience, and who aims at high goals in translation, international studies, language arts, and overall academic achievement.
I have been studying French for over a year, and have taken Le Grand Concours in the 2014-15 school year (MVHS), for National Honorable Recognition and 20th place ranking statewide in French 2. I participated in the FLAG Spoken Language contest and have tutored students in French. Currently, I am taking French 3013/ Intensive French Grammar Review at Georgia State University. French and International Business is my future major.
My English/language arts recognitions include sufficient verbal skills for entrance into the Gifted program (2015), as well as exceeds in the Georgia High School Writing test with a score of 350/350. In 2014, I was nominated for the Governor's Honors Program in the division of Language Arts. Current ACT reading score of 36. I have experience in some online publishing, writing, and have extensive tutoring experience within the writing discipline.
