2. My work at Optimae Life Services. I work 16 hours a week at Optimae Life Services, an agency that provides services to encourage independence and community integration for persons with mental illness and serious intellectual disabilities. My job is to help the customers live successfully in the community by providing services and support, such as bathing them as needed, transporting them to their doctors appointments, and taking care of their special needs. I work 20 hours, overnights, every weekend. My customers feel safe and comfortable sharing their personal stories with me, including how they feel about certain issues, how they think, and what they dont like, all of which is important because this information helps me to help them without conflict or making them nervous. I make sure they are relaxed and their anxiety is managed during crises.
3. My work as a Pharmacy Technician. I work 20 hours at Walmart pharmacy. I work all day every weekend. I provide friendly customer service at the prescription drop-off and pick-up counters, communicate directly with doctors' offices via telephone, fax, and email, and enter new patient profiles and prescriptions into CONNEX, the medication input software system. I accurately pull medications from the shelves for Pyxis replenishment and deliver them to patients. I mix various pharmaceutical preparations according to written prescriptions. Also, I accurately record compound products and prepare appropriate labels. I strictly maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
