Harvester at Common Thread CSA
Arriving at 7am sharp three days a week, I would wash bins from previous harvest days, and spend five hours harvesting vegetables, anything from carrots and beets to Kholrabi and fennel. I would also stay past my normal shift hours on days that they were short handed to help sort, wash and pack boxes for the farm's community shared system.

Trainer at Talons! A Bird of Prey Experience
What began as my entire life, working with my mother and her birds at educational events from Virginia to Maine, has slowly decreased into volunteer work when I am home from college to help her with big jobs. I continue to help train and socialize the birds of prey that she works with. The largest impact that this has had on my personality and skills is the amount of public speaking that was a daily part of my life. I was the main speaker at multiple high profile events, such as a fundraiser for Hunt of a Lifetime, multiple events with Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and many years highlighting the Family Week on the Intrepid in New York City. Other events included two appearances at the National Boyscout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill in Virginia, multiple years at Hunter Mountain, many school programs from pre-k to universities, animal therapy with hospice patients, and many many more.
