Men's Volleyball Club

In my first semester of my freshman year, I joined the Men's Volleyball Club. We practice twice a week for the whole semester. I am one of the setters on the team. We have had one preseason tournament in the middle of November in order to prepare for our tournaments in the Spring.

Co-Ed Ultimate Frisbee

The Club Ultimate Frisbee Team meets twice a week, one time inside at the Plourde Recreation Center and once on the weekend next on the field next to the duck pond. We practice scrimmaging and drilling one another in this preseason

Intramural Sports

Some of my friends and I have joined together to participate in several intramural sports. We called our team the Practice Squad. We played Full seasons of Kickball and Field Hockey, and participated in The Dodgeball Tournament and 3-v-3 Basketball Tournament.

SEARCH: Students Encountering and Responding to Christ

SEARCH is a community of Catholic young adults on campus who lead retreats for young Confirmation candidates. We prepare them to receive the Sacrament by sharing our own experiences with talks, group discussion in small groups, and a time of prayer. We welcome them into a light-hearted environment by playing games, doing skits, and appealing toward their better nature. So far our team of volunteers has lead about 7-8 retreats and I myself have given three talks.

Peer Ministry

I am a current Peer Minister in Salisbury Dormitory. My and my fellow ministers meet weekly with one another to discuss ways in which we can add a Christian atmosphere in our individual dorms. We provide prayer opportunities for our fellow students and if there is a need for a faith-based, Christian conversation, we can provide that for them. There are signs posted outside of my room that let people know that I am a Peer Minister and am available students needs.

Liturgies and Liturgical Ministry

Assumption College offers both Daily Mass and Sunday Mass for Catholic students, faculty, and community. I attend the services almost everyday and often I provide my own service by participating in the Mass. This includes being both an Alter Server and a Communion Minister. I am honored to provide my service in the holy Mass.

Work Experience

Missionary at NET Missionary

Before coming to college, I served as a missionary with the National Evangelization Teams. NET Ministries is a non-profit organization that leads young Catholic students closer to Christ through its retreats and evangelization. 170 young adults serve as missionaries each year in which they are divided up into 16 teams and sent across the country. My team and I lead 119 retreats in 19 diocese, administering to over 7,000 teenagers in the process. We served mainly in the state of California, along with a few bordering states.
