•Oversee the development and implementation of overnight programs, including managing staff •Train docents and staff in outreach programs and animal handling •Lead a team in educating a range of audiences from pre-k to senior citizens in a diverse selection of biological topics •Develop new education programs that correspond with the current teaching standards in New York State •Provide husbandry for a large variety of vertebrate and invertebrate species including medical care, enrichment for psychological well-being, and training •Research and implement new educational information for exhibit signs •Record and enter data for education programs promptly and accurately •Respond to client requests in an accurate and courteous manner •Work with clients to schedule programs that meet their educational needs •Participate in the zoo's training and enrichment committee
