Timothy Lindsey

Lindsey is a junior at Wofford College pursuing degrees in Government, Sociology, and a concentration in African/African-American Studies. He aspires to attend law school and take courses relating to Civil Rights Law. Because of his passion for enriching the lives of and advocating for the rights of disadvantaged groups, Lindsey wants to pursue a career as a CEO/Administrator of his own non-profit. Part of Lindsey's career choices comes from his involvement as a Bonner Scholar. The Bonner Scholarship is awarded to students with various financial need. In return for being awarded the scholarship, students have to serve 140 hours of community service each semester at a service site. Lindsey's service sites include SC Legal Services, a non-profit law office for low income individuals, and the Urban League of the Upstate, an agency that works for the empowerment of individuals in the areas of housing, employment, and education.
