Trevon Collins

As a second-year mechanical engineering major, I have a vehement desire to advance global sustainability with respect to smart material energy systems. Accordingly, my ideal workplace is one that reflects this vision and accommodates mechatronics specialists within their engineering departments. As for my individual return on investment, I firmly believe that my mathematical acuity, collaborative disposition, intellectual tenacity, environmental awareness, programming knowledge (Python, Java, Fortran 95, and C++), and research background indicate my potential for substantive contribution. Previously, I have used these skills to investigate biotechnical approaches to reducing international landfilling for a culminating academic project. Looking forward, I hope to leverage this experience along with my college education to effectuate more environmentally sensible routes to societal usage of technology.
