January, 16 2020 - Verified by Clarkson UniversityAt Fort Miller Co. my building is primarily responsible for the production of concrete retaining walls. This process begins by first preparing our six to fifteen foot long steel forms. We then must securely place rebar racks within the form, followed by the concrete itself. A few other responsibilities include changing forms for upcoming projects, tying rebar racks, maintaining poured forms, and cleaning spilled concrete.
During my freshman year as a student ambassador I was responsible for providing campus tours for potential students and their families. For my sophomore year I worked as a receptionist for one of our administrative buildings. I also was assigned filing and mailing work when time permitted. For this position in both years I worked out of the admissions office on campus.
