Taylor Mckinney

During my Summer Internship, some of my responsibilities included managing the organizations social media accounts, establishing valuable partnerships with local organizations and enterprises, participating in meetings with board members and giving creative input and idea's and helping to raise awareness about the organization. I helped execute Civility Internationals first fundraiser. The Kick Out the Stigma Soccer Fundraiser was a successful 3v3 tournament that promoted and raised mental health awareness in our communities. I strategically marketed for the fundraiser; assisted in creating press releases; overseen a silent auction; sold refreshments and helped raise over $2,000. I am proud to say that when my internship came to an end, I was offered a position within the company.

I started as a hostess, moved to car-side to-go and I am now a server. Applebee's has given me the opportunity to utilize my communication skills on a regular basis. I have learned to work independently as well as with a team. My job requires me to anticipate guest needs, resolve conflict and build client relationships that get our guests to return. I am also qualified to train newly hired employees on policies, duties, responsibilities and expectations.
