Tom Vandertill

I am currently a third-year Finance and Information Systems double major at Miami University's Farmer School of Business. My involvement with this Miami's Honors Program combined with my work experience and study has prepared me to further expand my professional career. In Miami Universitys Honors Program, I have access to more vigorous, in-depth courses. In addition to advanced course work, I must participate in other Honors Experiences. These can be completed by meeting with a professor to have them further challenge me in a class, studying abroad, having an internship or countless other valuable opportunities. In addition to my growth within Miami University, I have formed a solid professional background that I will continue to grow upon. This past summer, I worked in the Global Financial Systems department of Aleris International, an industry leading aluminum manufacturer. At Aleris, I was able to lead projects regarding software implementation, creating efficiency metrics, and analyzing budgeting and expenses. Prior to that, my work experiences consist of power washing for Jayco Hydro and a Business Operations Internship with Cleveland Kraut where I developed problem solving and project management skills.
