My name is Trevor Undrell Culpepper, Jr. and I am 17 years old. I was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan where I currently reside. I attend Heritage High School where I am a Senior who is expected to graduate in May 2020. My personal interests, hobbies, special skills and talents are all geared towards bringing some type of joy to the next person. I want to major in Finance and have a minor in Business while I am attending college. My plans are to become a Financial Planner after I graduate and try to teach people how to manage their money and have it to benefit them better. I am currently on track with a goal to get a 3.5 or higher to have a better cumulative score in the end. I must admit that at first, I didnt do as well as I knew I could and chose to do the minimum to get by. But now I realize that doing your minimum is not the best route to take. I am striving to end up with my best grades because now I understand that great grades can take you far. It is never too late to learn from past mistakes and correct them.
Some of my accomplishments that I am proud of are as follows: I was able to complete an AP Physics class after being advised to take a lower level Physics class as a Junior in high school, I received a certificate from the American Red Cross to be a Certified Lifeguard, I received a plaque for being MVA (most valuable athlete) at my school in Track and Field out of 80 students, I received the Saginaw Valley Conference First Team Member (Defensive Varsity Football) 2019, and I qualified for the Hersheys Junior National Olympics in the summer of 2019 for Track. My most proud moment for now is having my first job as a Lifeguard and Zehnders Splash Village in Frankenmuth, Michigan since August of 2018.
Some of my extracurricular activities have included basketball, football, track and field with the school and The Greene Steel Track Club. My church involvement activities have included ushering, camera and video operator, mime ministry, and also assisting Sunday School teachers with their classes. I have also done community work with my Gamma Kappa Kudos Fraternity Group that have included: The Flint Michigan water drive, Teddy Bear Run for Covenant Hospital, the Festival of Trees Community Project, the Power Play at the Mid-Michigans Children Museum for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Senior Citizen Yard Clean-up; I have also, along with my Varsity Football Team mates assisted the Saginaw Choral Society with moving their equipment for a concert in the summer of 2019, and recently Shop With a Cop at Walmart on Bay Road in Saginaw, just to name a few.
