Sean Kennedy

Passionate 3rd year game design student at Champlain College, a top ranked school for game development by the Princeton Review. Currently seeking an internship in the game development industry for summer 2017. I have been captivated by games my whole life, and after making the decision to pursue a career as a game designer years ago, I have never looked back. Attending Champlain College has allowed me to experience every aspect of game design and the production process. I have practice developing games in teams using agile methodologies and scrum, with disciplines from many areas of development such as artists, programmers, and producers. I know what it takes to bring a game from beginning concept and documentation stages to shipping a final product, through rapid prototyping iteration, planning with milestones, version control software, quality assurance testing, balancing and polish, etc. The area of game design I am presently most experienced in and interested in pursuing is systems design. I love being able to dream up, implement, and test new and unique types of gameplay systems and mechanics. I have a solid amount of programming and scripting experience and find it rewarding to get hands on with the code of a project, so I believe I would fit well in a technical design position. Currently, I have also taken up a moderate interest in narrative design. I enjoy the creative process of writing and designing characters and their stories, and fascinated by the concepts of interactive storytelling and meaningful player choice in games.
