I have gone from being trained as a team member to trainer to team lead to shift lead. Through each promotion I have had to prove that I am capable of taking on more responsibilities and am capable of running an effective shift. At this point, I know how to maintain a clean restaurant, provide a family-friendly atmosphere, pull "levers" in order to keep the whole business afloat all while leading a fast-paced shift. I am capable of taking orders, ensuring the dining room is clean, keeping the drive-thru line moving, ensuring that orders are being bagged and ran out in an efficient time manner, and I even know parts of the kitchen :)
