Vikas Luthra

Namaste! I am Vikas Luthra, a second year Master's Student, pursuing my major in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech, US. Born in a small town in India, I have always been an introspective, intellectual, diligent and curious being. I did my undergraduate education at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati, India, where I earned my Bachelors with Major in Interaction Design and Minor in Electronics and Communication engineering. Before coming to Georgia Tech, I spent two years as a User Experience researcher at Samsung Electronics, where I got to work in areas like accessibility for visually impaired, Voice based personal agents, Macro behavior and needs for low-income youth in India. In past, I have also worked in the area of learning and instruction via technology, data visualization, and online executive dashboards. My research interests lie at the intersection of technology, design, well-being and behavioral psychology. I love to understand deep human experiences and try to visualize them through my designs. I am motivated in the idea of improving peoples lives and have a positive impact on the world around me through my work .
