Vivian Phan

I participated in the VSU Business in Germany Program during the summer of 2017. We traveled through various cities while learning about international business, trade and culture, international economics, and the German culture and language. We visited business that focused on sustainability such as the Karlsruhe Old Slaughterhouse, Energy Mountain, and Orange Bike Concept. We also visited businesses including but not limited to the BMW Dingolfing Factory, Spaten-Franziskaner-Bru (brewery), CEZ Energy Company, Deutsche Bundesbank. We also visited the Georgia Economic Development International Trade Division where we learned about how Georgia and Germany collaborates in business and economic developments. We learned about the culture through visiting places including but now limited to the Neuschwanstein Castle, Terezin Work Canp and Ghetto, Nuremberg Documentation Center, Nazi Party Rallying Grounds.
