Will Odum

Will Odum comes from a diverse and experienced background of business, entertainment, and education experience! Born in the Los Angeles, CA area and having grown up in the East Cobb subdivision of Marietta, GA, Will attended Sope Creek Elementary School from grades K-5. During his time at Sope Creek, he was honored to be elected Student Council President, direct Sope Creek's Weekly Student Broadcast Program, trail blaze student-involvement with a new yearbook publication, and make many life-long friends and contacts. In 2008, Will Odum graduated from SCES and transferred to The Galloway School, a philosophically routed independent school in the Buckhead subdivision of Atlanta that prides itself on being learner-centered. Graduating from Galloway's Upper Learning Program in 2015, Will strived to support Galloway's progressive approach to education by launching a student broadcast program in 2014, attending two national Progressive Education Network teacher's conferences in 2011 and 2013, and laying the groundwork for a student-driven GAP Year Paid Internship Program. While studying at Galloway, Will launched his first private business in 2009-- Will Odum DJ On Demand, a small, mc-style DJ service catering primarily to small events left un-served by larger competitors. In addition, Will began coaching swimming with the Sibley Forest Seahorses summer swim team in 2010, a small yet highly unique HOA-sponsored swim team in Will's neighborhood. During his 13+ year career with the team, Will advanced into the Head Coach role with responsibilities that expanded to ultimately managing the entire 120+ person organization. During his tenor, he has completed an extensive rebrand and internal evaluation of the team that resulted in unprecedented success over the last 4 years. After graduating from his secondary education, Will opted to take a GAP year before embarking upon his college career to reflect upon his past and make clear and beneficial decisions about his future. Will choose KSU because of their nationally ranked first-year student experience and innovative, growing Coles College of Business. At the core of Will's being is a love for family, friends, and overall human connection and an ultimate goal for innovation because the world does not move forward without new ideas. And, at the core of his personality... energetic enthusiasm, boundless ambition, and a genuine love for life and other human beings!
