Graduate Assistant in Department of Educational Leadership & Admissions at University of North Carolina at Wilmington
Organized, and managed the Graduate Assistantship (GA) application process for all student services divisions (25+ students applied for the 2017-2018 academic year). Students were selected by staff across campus to fill GA opportunities available at UNCW.
Assisted with the development of the M.Ed. and Ed.D. Higher Education Program Handbook.
Created a newsletter email template that was sent each week to students within the M.Ed. and Ed.D. Higher Education program(s) at UNCW. The newsletter contained current events within the Higher Education department, events within the higher education field, current events happening on campus, etc. This new tool streamlined connections between faculty and students, and will be used in the future for the department.
Led efforts for the Spring Higher Education Symposium event, including marketing materials, display materials, sending invites to faculty and staff across campus, and room set-up where the event was held. This was the largest symposium event held for the Higher Education program to date.
Asked by the Department Head of Education Leadership to participate in the hiring committee responsible for filling an Administrative Assistant opportunity available within the Education Leadership department. This was a collaborative effort between myself, faculty, and the HR department at UNCW.
Provided campus tours for faculty guests, and prospective students.
Provided assistance for faculty members with research endeavors, class materials, etc.
