Dr. Amber Gray, DBH

Member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
From Lake Elsinore, California
I have a drive for helping victims of violence and trauma change their circumstances. I value family and forward-focused practices, which allow me to always keep victims in the heart of everything I do. My central focus is understanding how abusers use language to change the thought processes and behaviors of their victims. I aim to create counter-processes to unravel the damage done with a deep study of forensic linguistics. Outside of my studies and dedicated work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My partner and children are my world. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, off-roading and biking. I spend time writing, contributing to philanthropic activities such as awareness races for people with health disabilities and volunteerism. I'm an introvert, so if it can be said in an email, the whole world is better for it. I have a Doctorate of Behavioral Health and I am working on a second PhD in Psychology, Public Policy, & Law with a concentration in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Linguistics. I come from a background in criminology, anthropology, women's studies and health, neuroscience, psychology, and behavior medicine. I'm available for limited speaking engagements and select authorships. Conscious Automation: A 9-Point Model to Help Change the Way You Think About Your Life and the Beliefs That No Longer Serve You
One of the most difficult things in life is having control over our own lives. If you have been feeling out of control, like you don't know what to do, or if you are not sure how to take control of your life, this book is for you. This book was written for survivors of domestic violence and various abuses, however, it has more far reaching implications for anyone who wants to live in consciousness and drive their life path. In 9 steps, this model of conscious control, will help you to forge the life you've always wanted. Everyone talks of living in consciousness. Everyone talks of automatic behaviors created to help you achieve success. Yet, no one has pointed out step by step how you create conscious automations until now. Creating conscious automation will help you change the way you think about your life. In changing how you think, you will not just be a bystander of your life, but someone in control of, and ready to take charge of their life.
